Butler Farm Show Sunset

This ride caught my eye at the Butler Farm Show, it gave me motion sickness just watching it swing and spin. The image was shot in RAW, which gave me the ability to bring out some detail in the shadows. Most people avoid using Raw and shoot in JPEG format. It is a little simpler, but does not give you the leeway with shadows and highlights that RAW does. I try HDR ( high dynamic range) photography on occasion, it is the merging of 2 or more images to achieve the best exposure. I still feel that better more realistic affects are achieved with RAW image files.
